More Than $2 Million in State Funding Awarded to 109th District, Says Leadbeter
October 21, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) announced today the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) allocated $2.028 million in grant funding to the Luzerne Conservation District to assist with an ongoing project at Long Hollow Cattle Company in Columbia County.
According to Leadbeter, the money will be used to implement two roofed heavy-use areas (32 feet by 72 feet and 70 feet by 284 feet), fencing, roof runoff controls, access roads, animal walkways, watering facilities, underground outlets and stormwater controls.
“Securing critical funding for the 109th District requires relentless effort, strong advocacy and a commitment to delivering results,” said Leadbeter. “Agriculture is the backbone of many of our communities and a vital part of Pennsylvania’s economy and heritage. I will work tirelessly to secure the resources and investments our farmers, rural communities and local businesses need to thrive.”
Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
