Leadbeter Secures $2 Million in State Funding for 109th District

July 17, 2026

HARRISBURG –Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) announced Sekisui Kydex in South Centre Township is receiving $2 million in state funding, from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), to assist with an ongoing project.

According to Leadbeter, this project will redevelop a neglected part of the Kydex South Campus and include buying and installing new equipment. It involves completely rebuilding a major section of the south campus that is currently unusable. The work will prepare the building so equipment can be installed, and the company can begin setting up its new press lamination facility.

“Obtaining this funding is a significant milestone for Columbia County,” said Leadbeter. “It will go a long way in supporting long-term growth and innovation in the 109th District. I appreciate the steadfast support of our partners and local leaders whose collaboration with me has been essential in moving this effort forward.”

Funding for the project was authorized by lawmakers in the Capital Budget Project Itemization Act.

RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects. These projects have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues or other measures of economic activity. RACP projects are funded by the state and cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.
