Leadbeter to Host Third Annual Veterans Expo Sept. 24

HARRISBURG – To show his continued support for veterans and the military, state Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) is partnering with the Bloomsburg Fair Association to host his third annual Veterans Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds.

“Our veterans have served valiantly to defend our freedoms, and it’s important we give back by supplying information on resources available to them,” said Leadbeter. “We are honored to hold this event once again to show our gratitude and support for those who displayed the utmost courage by serving our country.”

Veterans, and active and retired military personnel, will receive free admission at the Bloomsburg Fair with proof of service.

The veterans ceremony will run from 10-10:30 a.m. at the Free Stage. Maj. Gen. John R. Pippy, adjutant general of Pennsylvania, will be the keynote speaker. Stacy Garrity, Pennsylvania Treasurer and a retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel, will be the special guest.

The Veterans Expo will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the rear of the Education Building and run until 6 p.m., where veterans can connect with the care, benefits and opportunities they have earned.
